Sahuarita Baptist Church uses ministry teams to perform ministry. A ministry team is a group of church members who have a particular giftedness or affinity or interest in an area of ministry who cooperate to perform the ministry.

Ministry teams are self-organizing, self governing, and self destructing. A ministry team can start on its own, decide its own ministry, choose how to perform the ministry, and disband when the ministry is completed.
The church’s role is to help members find a ministry to others, instead of helping people find a job to serve the church institution. The guiding principles for ministry teams are the vision and purpose statements of the church.
